COMPANY PROFILE

In 1991, while attending Western Michigan University, Roy Gooch saw an opportunity to recycle and sell toner cartridges to help finance his college education. He opened Precision Printer Services, and for the first two years, remanufactured toner cartridges in the evenings and weekends, while during the day, attended class and cold-called to make sales. By 1993, the business was growing rapidly so Roy, along with his wife Tricia, made the decision for Roy to make PPS his full time profession. Tricia (now COO of PPS) followed in 1997, leaving the banking industry to devote time to helping shape PPS’s continuous growth.
Since the very beginning, PPS has been dedicated to providing the best remanufactured toner cartridges in the country, and exceeding the needs of its customers. This approach to quality products and service has allowed PPS to sustain steady growth and maintain customer relationships long term. In fact, over 70% of the customers that ordered in 1991 are still ordering today! PPS partners with its customers to add value to the printing process.

In 2016, PPS still has the foundation it developed over the last 25 years in business, but has evolved into a Managed Print Solutions provider. PPS can handle everything from a one printer office user to an organization that has hundreds of printers and needs dedicated support.

Roy Gooch

Since starting the company in 1991, Roy has been President and “Chief Everything Officer”.  From cartridge tech, service tech, and janitor, there is not a position at PPS Roy has not spent time working.  Now, most days are spent seeing customers and driving the company’s continued evolution into managed print solutions.  When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with Tricia and his two college aged sons. 

Tricia Gooch

Tricia is co-owner of Precision Printer Services.  She graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors and Master’s Degree.  While she handles most aspects of the business, her primary focus is in Operations, Human Resources and Payroll. Outside of work, Tricia likes to keep active and spend time with her family.

Tim Spaulding

After starting as a cartridge tech while earning his degree at Western Michigan University, Tim has filled several roles throughout his 22 year career at PPS. As Production Manager for the past 15 years, Tim oversees and manages the production staff, supply procurement, inventory, and research and development. In addition, Tim took the lead in guiding PPS through STMC Certification.

Jarred Reid

Jarred brings 15 years of printer service experience to PPS and is instrumental in the daily management of the service department. In addition to keeping the service department up-to-date with new equipment, he has implemented managed print solution programs at some of the biggest hospitals in the US.  When Jarred is not working, he enjoys fishing and hunting.
